Electrical Project Manager

Your tasks at FFT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Coordinate Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the development of electrical engineering projects according to the project timeline and requirements defined by the Project Organization.
• Project Progress Tracking: Continuously update project information and progress using the PME (Project Management Environment) indicator and quality gate to ensure all project metrics and timelines are tracked effectively.
• Update Project Documentation: Maintain up-to-date project forms and documents in compliance with the ISO 9001 internal processes. Ensure that all data is organized, accessible, and accurate.
• Personnel and Resource Planning: Carry out and update personnel and resource plans, ensuring all relevant documentation is stored on the designated server and follows PME procedures.
• Escalation of Issues: Actively identify project risks and issues and escalate them in a timely manner, ensuring that appropriate resolutions are found to avoid project delays.
• Material Purchasing Support: Assist with the purchasing process for materials required for electrical projects, ensuring that the necessary resources are available on time.
• Material Pre-Authorization: Review and approve requests for materials and services within the electrical engineering area, ensuring that purchases align with project specifications and budgets.
• Make use of PM TOOL (FIVE) portal for project status report & SAP for control of project.
• RFQs and Supplier Contracts: Create and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and manage supplier contracting processes, ensuring alignment with the technical and personnel needs of the project. Utilize FFT tool ASTRAS for tendering to suppliers.
• Supplier Management: Manage and oversee suppliers to ensure they meet technical, personnel, and material requirements for the project.
• Invoice Pre-Authorization: Pre-authorize invoices for progress payments to service providers or for the delivery of materials, ensuring that costs are in line with the project’s progress.
• Client Visits: Visit clients regularly to support project activities, resolve issues, and support sales efforts for new projects or services.
• Sales Support: Provide technical expertise and recommendations during client meetings to secure new projects or enhance relationships with existing clients.
• Project Execution Management: Ensure the electrical engineering department delivers projects according to client specifications and project goals, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project.
• Obtain Final Acceptance: Secure the final acceptance of the project ensuring that all deliverables have been completed and meet the agreed-upon specifications.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS 9100 Certifications by applying industry best practices in project execution, quality management, and safety standards.
• Knowledge and application of FFT Quality Management. 

Your profile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics).
• Advanced degree (Master's or higher) preferred but not required
• 5 years’ experience required in the areas of Electrical Engineering areas (Controls, HW/SW Design, Pneumatic design, Electrical Installation)
• Knowledge of Hardware/Software design, Virtual Commissioning (PLC and Robot Programming) Technology (spot, adhesive, Mig/Mag, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of Project Management • Excellent analytical and organizational skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, Management tools
• Strong leadership and proven supervisory skills • Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
