Design Engineer (m/f/x) Mechanics Test Engineering

FFT needs your support

• You are responsible for the conceptual design and realization of test systems in the field of aviation, automotive, battery and hydrogen technologies in our test department Systems & Test Operations.
• The planning, design and implementation of mechanical constructions for test applications is in your hands
• Concept development and feasibility check for tenders and projects
• Creation of 3D models, parts lists, technical drawings as well as spare and wear parts lists
• Carrying out calculations and ergonomics studies
• Creation of project documentation
• Implementation of test setups for proof of concept phases
• Supervision and support of assembly and installation work
• Support during commissioning and optimization of the test systems on site at the customer's premises
• Close cooperation with internal departments, especially in research, development and plant construction projects, as well as with external partners, suppliers and customers

Your qualification

• You have a degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or comparable
• You bring experience in the field of mechanical design
• Confident handling of the CAD programs CATIA V5 / V6 or SolidWorks
• Knowledge in the field of FEM is desirable
• Willingness to travel at home and abroad is a prerequisite
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
